Backpackers Inn

About Us

Welcome to Byron Bay. A meeting place for people from all over the world. Experience the BEACH culture at a true BEACH hostel – Backpackers Inn. Established since 1988, Backpackers Inn is one of the foundation hostels on the east coast of Australia focused entirely on budget backpacker style accommodation. Two things to know:

1) 45 Seconds – the time it takes to get to the beach from the hostel.

2) 400 Metres – the distance to the centre of Byron Bay from the hostel.

Comfortable carpeted rooms, offering spacious dorms, double, twin, triple and single accommodation, Backpackers Inn has something for everyone. Palm filled walkways lead you to a large courtyard with a pool, manicured backyard and volleyball court.

A year round destination, there is always something happening in Byron Bay. Summer and spring offer hot balmy nights and a  vibrant village atmosphere with that touch of “Riviera” in the air. Winter and Autumn is what the locals are really here for. With cool nights and stunning sun soaked days, awesome surfing, the magnificent whale migration and our nightly fire at Backpackers Inn, it really is a treat.
